: Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

The word I would use to describe my mind is Kaizen. It is a Japanese term which means the philosophy of constant improvement. I feel as my mind is constantly trying to find way to improve in whatever I do. I try to push myself everyday just so when I do relax I feel relaxed and wont have regret and my mind thinks the same so this word would describe my mind because this is the way I think and the away my mind filters things. I like it though it helps me especially in sports and I wouldn't say it a struggle but more of a motivation. Today we read 2 poem and started out heart emotional and logical paper drawing. Today I learn a lot of Dickinson poem and learn how to analyze poem better

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

An adventure I would to go on the great adventure of Vinland it is a beautiful place with a beautiful view. It is a warm and fertile place away from all conflict, where someone can live life full of peace. It would be a really fun adventure I think it would be very good for me mentally to take a break, I believe it will be somewhere i can find calmness and it can bring me to a state of mind where nothing is bother me and im just living the moment. I could walk around and see all the nice views and and enjoy all the nice nature even go fish and explore the whole area. It somewhere I would love to go. Today we had more presentation and did a worksheet about the more opening of American Lit I learn the more basic of American Lit and also read a poem and learn how to analyze a poem

Describe something you will never fully understand.

Something I will never fully understand is people who are so mean to people. Why be so mean to people, I mean you never know what anyone going through. It really sad how people can do such a thing and think it is funny. A lot of times people take it in a wrong way and who knows what that person could be going through. It just really hurts that people really are mean to each other and don't feel bad. It just show how our society has came and how much it has affected how people act. Today we presented our digital poster Learn about other myths and theme

Write about something that you wish you had more of.

Something I wish I had more of is my Vertical jump or Stamina, I want to be able to dunk more and if I had more vertical jump I can dunk a lot easier, I can dunk now but I could do cooler dunks. If I had more Stamina I could play in games a lot easier and I would not have to worry about getting tired during the games and I could easily play and not get tired especially during basketball conditioning. It would be so cool and I would be such a better athlete and I think I would catch a lot attention and it would be great and I could get an offer. We are working on our digital poster. I learned how to learn to make a digital poster for my myth

What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

The most creative thing I have ever was this doodle drawing when I was in 5th grade, I made it for a school talent show. I twas during the COVID time. I put a lot of these that represented and were popular in that time but also things that I imagined and did at my free time during COVID. I believed it was really cool and I still have it folded up in a notebook. I made a really cool edit of making it so it was like a 2 and 1. It was a very cool drawing and I really express myself with it. A lot of people were impress of my drawing and I even surprise myself.  Today we were assigned to make a digital poster for our myths. I learn how to use Adobe and make a digital poster on there.

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

My burning question about our world is more about the ocean, and all the stuff that lie in it. I always wonder what animal we never seen and what could be out there. People say there were sea dinosaurs and if a meteor hit would it affect the sea dinosaurs. What is really out in the water there so much we never explored and it really scary cause we have no idea what's there. Another question I have is how is space I mean of course you see it on TV or documentary but I really do wanna see myself on day just experience it for a hour and see how it like. It just very fascinating. Today we are starting to write our narrative myth and doing it writable. Today I learned how to write a proper and good myth and what i need to include for it to be a myth.

Describe a time you felt completely lost

A time I felt completely lost is when I went to my first basketball game. Before I never really played sports I would play outside but never sports. So when I first started I felt really lost I never knew the rules and everything was brand new to me. I did not know many people at the time I way more introverted and the people I knew were already very good at the sport. I was also taller so people assumed I was good and I was very lost in the whole situation and I didn't really know what to do.  Today we presented our  The Jealous Father project and we got to hear everyone else. I learned a lot of stuff about the story and different parts like the Theme, and resolution.

Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

The way I adapted to the demand of this course over the past week is making my schedule around it. Before when I moved into this class I didn't really want to do poem and learn myths and all that, but later on and even just from the first week I really do enjoy reading them. My schedule was bad before and I procrastinated and knowing I am gonna get work in this class I have prepared better in how I schedule myself. My strengths I would say is if I am really interested in a story or writing I tend to do a lot better and be way more involved with the work. Something that is challenging for me is staying focus when it something I'm not very interested in, I usually do not open up to get involved when is something I'm not interested. This would happen to me in reading MAP test especially when I was not interested in the reading. We took a myth assessment and read a story and answer questions on it. Something I learned today was how to answer question on test and how to do it e...

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

One situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship I've experienced was when I was playing basketball in game and was jealous about someone else performing better than me. I was very jealous they were playing better achieving more than me and getting so much attention it affected mentally. As I got in the game I try to be better and took bad shots and it costed my team quite a bit and everyone was a bit mad, luckily it was only the first half and I came out realize it was affecting the team and next went out and played better. Even though I wasn't doing the best and I did my role I was still bit jealous but I almost let it affect me completely and the game. That was a long time ago and I've changed my mindset since then. Today we did group work, and read a story, after we read that we are making a slide and explaining about the setting.  I learned how to find the setting in a story and explain in in very specific detail.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

An object that is meaningful in my life that carries a story is my basketball. It carries a really big meaning because it something I use everyday. This object has an ability whenever I use it I really do feel way better mentally and it calms me down. This item is not just a sport object to me it carries every sweat and tear I've put in this sport. Sometime people will look at it as it a regular object but to me it’s the treasure in the box, something I plan to devote my whole life to. Everyday I make brand new memories with it and it has many stories with me.  Today we learned about the Navajo creations, read a story and went over it and annotated, also went over the theme of the story. I learned about how to find a theme of a story and also Showed there was a lot of Biblical references in the Navajo creation

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

The time I have felt connected to nature is when I went on a trail. When I was outside I felt very connected I could hear the birds noises and it just sounded so natural. Everything about the moment felt very lively and just hearing the noises and looking around I felt very connected. I would see animals running around and for that moment it felt like I was in sync with the whole world and earth. I started to notice small details outside and everything was pretty cool.   Today in class we went over intro to native American Lit and went over our week vocabulary. What I learned today in class was the differences and similarities between myth, religion, and urban legends, and they are very similar but have distinct differences.
