Prompt: In “I, Too,” the speaker expresses pride in his identity and his rightful place in America. Reflect on your own life: What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

The aspect that I'm most proud of in my cultural identity is being Pakistani. I like to embrace it my whole families is from there, and I love it over there. I enjoy knowing that my families from there. This makes me special compare to many people. Especially in the basketball it differs me from other and I really would want to put my country a show, showing them how basketball is fun and how more Pakistani should get involved. 

Today we read a poem about cultural identity and started our mask project.

I learned that cultural is important in everyone because no two being are alike and culture is something important to you and your family.

 One situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship I've experienced was when I was playing basketball in game and was jealous about someone else performing better than me. I was very jealous they were playing better achieving more than me and getting so much attention it affected mentally. Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

 One truth that I was afraid to accept was when my grandmother passed away. She was a big factor in my life and really represent who I am today. She passed away this year near my birthday, and I had a plan fight to Pakistan 2 weeks after. The whole situation was really out of sudden and I did not believe it really happened. I was scared to accept it and it did not feel like reality. In the moment they told me I asked them if they were joking, but in the inside I knew they wouldn't do that. I couldn't accept it there was no way but it began to sit down on me and it hurt. She lived with me and she was in the room next to me. As a kid i would always to go to her room and chill with her, while my brother would hangout with there friends and my parents had work.  Something I will never fully understand is people who are so mean to people. Why be so mean to people, I mean you never know what anyone going through. It really sad how people can do such a thing and think it is funny. A lot of times people take it in a wrong way and who knows what that person could be going through. It just really hurts that people really are mean to each other and don't feel bad. It just show how our society has came and how much it has affected how people act.
