Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

The biggest problem in immigration today is the clash between new technology and human rights . While governments use fast AI tools to track borders, these systems often make automated decisions that ignore the personal stories of people seeking safety. My research shows that this creates a "protection gap," where tech can easily block people, but our laws aren't updated to help those fleeing new dangers like climate change. This is important because it turns immigration into a cold data game rather than a fair process for people in need. Today we chose our best sources and evaluated them to see the best one I learned how to evaluate to find the best source

Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Working on this annotated bibliography helped me realize that immigration is a much more complex issue than I first thought, specifically regarding how policy affects local communities. I found that my sources connect by showing a clear link between legal status and economic stability, with several authors agreeing that integration programs are the key to long-term success. These connections are shaping my argument to focus more on the human impact of these policies rather than just looking at the statistics. Today we worked on our annotated bibliography  I learn how to write a annotated bibliography

Prompt: Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

I would say probably the reflection because how big my topic is and how it could connect to such a specific article. Especially, when reflecting the table it was hard relate with my topic because the table option were limited. But I will say they were not too hard because a lot of the sources I found were very good and easy to write about. Today we worked on our sources and research paper I learn how to write annotated bibliography

What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Some problems my group faced were deciding between to good article. When we got to the academic review we struggle because everyone had such good sources and it was very hard to find which one was the best out of all of them. But at the end we decided to see which related most the question and which would be us the farthest to what we need to reach the answer in our question unbiased.  Today we chose 7 sources out of the 40 we had I learn too choose right sources for the right topic

Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

I noticed that some sources talked about helping families , while others focused on following government laws . Some writers said immigrants help the economy, but others were worried about having enough jobs for everyone. These different ideas showed me that people disagree because they care about different things. Seeing both sides helped me realize that immigration is a big, complicated topic with no easy fix. Today we worked on our sources and completed them I learn how to find valid sources

Prompt: Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Using GALILEO was different because it provided academic articles instead of just general websites. I used specific keywords and filters to narrow down my results to the most relevant topics. Evaluating each source helped me make sure the information was credible and written by experts. This process significantly improved the overall quality and reliability of the research I found. Today we had to find different sources and add it to our google folder. I learn how to find good credible sources for my topic.

Prompt: Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

This cartoon criticizes how big money and wealthy donors have too much power in politics. The image suggests that a rich person's money can "outvote" or carry more weight than a regular citizen's choice. The cartoonist wants the audience to question if our elections are actually fair when money plays such a huge role. It encourages people to reconsider if the government is listening to the voters or just the people who pay for campaigns. Today we did common lit I learn to be better at reading comprehension

Prompt: Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how Ithis strategy will improve the quality of your research.

I learn that being more specific can give you more exact research on my topics. It shows me stuff that helps with my research paper and where to get the best info from. Even just not using Google and using more sites where it is a trustworthy source. This helps me find the information and keeps It to be specific.  This will improve my writing with giving the audience more specific evidence rather than the base topic, Today we worked on finding info on our research  paper I learn how to find a good source

Prompt: Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

Immigration is a tough topic because it involves many different laws, emotions, and needs that often clash. One view focuses on economic growth , looking at how immigrants help businesses and do important jobs that keep the country running. Another perspective emphasizes national safety , focusing on the need for clear rules and controlled borders to protect citizens. Understanding both sides is vital because a good solution must be fair to everyone and address the real concerns of both the newcomers and the current community. Today we worked on our research paper and deciding our question and finding a credible source. I learn how to use credible source and use my study.

Prompt: Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

In past school projects, I often struggled with time management and narrowing down a broad topic into a specific, manageable thesis. When working in groups, my biggest challenge was navigating uneven workloads , which I handled by setting clear deadlines and improving communication with my peers. These experiences taught me the importance of creating a detailed research plan early on to avoid last-minute stress. For this current project, I plan to stay organized by using a structured timeline and reaching out for feedback sooner rather than later. Today we did a Kahoot and started our research paper I learn how to start research paper

If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

If I could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation it would be a long week. On the Friday of the last week of school I would leave right after the bell to go to the beach and spend 2 days maybe 3 there. After that I would spend the rest of my break training hard and using that time for my advantage. I would workout and play lots of basketball while other are on vacation so I can use this to give me a head start., I would definitely go to the hotel gym in Florida and definitely do some sand workouts. I would go to the beach with my friends and enjoy and eat lots of food. I would bring the usual's for vacation clothes, swim shorts, and toiletry. This would be super fun and I hope to maybe do it my senior year with my friend, but of course it will cost money in real life. common lit and question I learned how to do and improve  reading comprehensive skills

McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

McCandless’s obsession with absolute independence led him to reject essential tools and advice, leaving him dangerously unprepared for the Alaskan wilderness. In my own life, I tried to handle a massive semester project entirely by myself to prove I didn't need help, but I quickly became overwhelmed by the workload. Just like Chris, I learned the hard way that seeking total control often blinds you to the risks and the reality that we all need a support system to survive. Today we finished the book and the movie I learn more about the book and movie and the ending
